May is a beautiful in-between—a time of wrapping up, looking ahead, and celebrating all the milestones along the way. Graduation caps are about to fly, summer parties are just a few weeks out, and for many of us, May is also a chance to pause and take care of our minds, our plans, and our people.

Graduation Party Checklist
A Little Planning, A Lot of Celebration
Graduation season is here—and whether you're celebrating a high school senior, college grad, or anything in between, a little prep goes a long way. Here’s a quick checklist to help you stay on top of the details.

Invitations
Send 3–4 weeks in advance. Whether you go digital or printed, make sure to include RSVP info & parking tips.
Decor & Vibes
Choose a color palette (school colors or neutrals with a pop work great!), then coordinate signage, balloons, florals, or banners for a pulled-together look.
Memory Moments
Set up a table with framed photos, a cap-decorating station, or an advice jar where guests can leave notes for the grad.
Food & Drinks
Keep it fun and easy—think taco bars, finger foods, lemonade stations, or mocktail spritzers. Don’t forget cake!
Music & Activities
Curate a playlist of the grad’s favorite songs or create a “then and now” slideshow. If it’s outdoors, lawn games are a win.
Thank-You Cards
Have a stack ready for after the party—it’s a thoughtful way for your grad to show appreciation.
